How soon will my account be set-up and ready to use?
All accounts are setup within 12 hours. Average set-up time is around
2 hours. You will receive an email *Welcome to Alwaiz.com!* message
once everything is ready, and it will include instructions on using
your new account, as well as your username and password.
Do you offer a money-back Guarantee?
Yes! We offer a full 30 days money-back guarantee should you not be
completely satisfied with your account... no questions asked!
Does it cost anything to upgrade my account?
Absolutely not! You can upgrade at any time to a larger plan, and
you simply start paying the increased monthly fee of the account you
upgraded to. No set-up fees for upgrading!
Will all my accounts have their own control panel?
Yes, all accounts you add to your plan will automatically have their
own control panel that can be accessed at either http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel/
or http://www.theirdomain.com/cpanel/ which allows control of their
domain's maintenance, such as full control over email and ftp accounts,
viewing web statistics and a lot more!
Will Alwaiz.com remain hidden if I choose to resell accounts to
my customers?
Definitely! You may choose to resell the accounts you add to your
plan, and if you do, there's no way anyone will know who your supplier
is. The web-based control panels that come with all accounts are brand-generic,
and the nameservers your domains will have to point to are a derivative
of hostliner.net (i.e. ns1/ns2.hostliner.net etc). This domain name
has been chosen and setup to be different from Alwaiz.com so that
we can remain anonymous for you and your clients.
Can I, or my clients, host adult sites?
NO! Adult sites, eggdrops bots, irc scripts, spam scripts or any other
kind of illegal activity is not allowed. If you host such content
on your reseller domain, your account will be terminated. If one of
your clients have such content on their account(s), we will inform
you so that you can take immediate action.
How often are backups made?
Backups are made daily, but we still recommend you make backups of
your most critical data.
Can I order even though I do not live in either Canada or the United
States?
Certainly! We have customers located in many countries around the
world.
What currency are the prices in?
All prices are listed in US Dollars.

What is Propagation?
Propagation is the time during which your DNS Zone information is
spread abroad to servers that didn't know about it before. Why does
it take so long? There are various reasons, but some studies have
suggested that there are literally millions of DNS Servers that need
to be notified of the new information! Propagation takes two forms,
changes to your DNS Zone and changes to your WHOIS information. The
WHOIS is the master record that tells every DNS Server in the world
which is the authoritative server for your domain. A change to your
WHOIS information (done by your domain registrar) can take up to 72
hours to propagate fully. A change to your DNS Zone information typically
affects only a handful of servers, and so is done much more quickly,
say in 24 to 36 hours.
Advantages of a Dedicated IP
The only real reason why someone would want to have a dedicated IP
would be to use their own SSL certificate and to be able to use anonymous
FTP. There are a few smaller side effects, an example of one of them
would be that if someone which is on the same IP address and spams
a search engine; it would get BOTH of your sites banned. However,
we have strict rules about spamming on our servers, so that our IP
addresses do not get banned!
How much does it cost to become a Reseller?
You can resell the domains you add to your Multi-1, Multi-2, Multi-3,
Multi-4 and have no extra costs for adding (selling) accounts! You
can resell your accounts for as much (or as little) as you like.
If we choose to become a reseller, can we use your support documentation
for our hosting business?
Yes you can. Instead of just copying the pages and pasting them into
your website, you may want to customize them so they match your particular
situation.
Who handles the domain registration and transfers?
If you do not yet own a domain name, you can register one through
us for $8.95/year. If you already have a domain name, then you will
have to change the DNS settings of that domain name so that it points
to our servers. You can do this by returning to the place where you
registered your domain name. They should have a place where you can
*manage* your domain, and make those changes yourself. If you have
any difficulties with this process, let us know as we'd be happy to
help!
How can I check domain availability?
We have setup an online facility to assist you or your customers in
selecting a domain name. To check on the availability of a .com, .net
or .org domain names (update: or .biz, .tv, .info, .cc), go to our
Domain Registration page,
as there is a search tool on that page.
What should I change my domain name's DNS settings to?
We can't really answer that right now, because it depends on the server
we set your account(s) up on. Each server has it's own unique nameserver
information. The settings for one of our servers is: Primary Nameserver:
ns1.hosliner.net Primary IP address: 64.191.102.135 Secondary Nameserver:
ns2.hostliner.net Secondary IP address: 64.191.102.136 But again,
you will receive confirmation as to what your DNS settings should
be, once you sign up.
How are Accounts added to my Plan?
You should fill out the *Add Account* form located in the Members
Area of our website.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes, we are proud to be able to host websites from any country in
the world. It is also possible for us to host your non-US and non-Canadian
domains. All prices however, are in US Dollars.
Is there a minimum term I have to use Alwaiz.com?
Our plans are all priced on a month-to-month basis. If you ever want
to cancel your account, then you will not have to make payment at
the end of the current month. There are no discounts offered for partially-used
months. You can also choose to pay for a full year in advance. Doing
so will give you a 20% discount off the regular monthly hosting fees.
Do you provide a web control panel?
Yes! Every account comes with it's own CPanel web-based control panel....
even the accounts you add to your plan. The control panel features
user-friendly options, and enables you to have complete control over
your domain with neutral branding as to make your customers believe
that you are providing hosting services directly. Not only does this
give you more control, but it also dramatically lowers your technical
support costs. Features include email setup (POP3, forwarders, aliases,
autoresponders, etc), FTP, File Manager, Webalizer stats, disk usage
and bandwidth stats, custom 404 error page setup, sub-domain and FTP
administration, web-mail, and much more!
Can I customize the control panel?
No, the control panel is generic with no branding so your clients
will think that you are providing the hosting service.
What type of servers do you use?
We use high performance Pentium based servers with the industry-accepted
highest reliability Linux Red Hat software. More details can be found
here.
Do you support Microsoft Frontpage?
Yes. We support Microsoft Frontpage 97/98/2000 extensions, for your
convenience.
Do you support SSI’s (Server Side Includes)?
Yes. Server side includes are enabled on all domain accounts.
Do you support SSL (Secure Socket Layer)?
Yes, you can use our shred SSL certificate for free.
Does each domain name have an IP number allocated?
No, IP numbers are shared across the domain names. If you require
a dedicated IP address, it is available for an extra $2.00 per month.
In most cases, a dedicated IP address is not necessary.
Can I install my own CGI scripts?
All accounts include the ability to install your own CGI scripts.
We have installed PERL version 5 for your convenience. Any domain
name found using an offensive script will have all accounts terminated
without notice. This includes 'spamming' mass mailing, hacking and
denial of service scripts of any kind.
What are your account policies and payment terms?

Can I view my web site’s traffic and visitor activity?
Yes, we provide statistics and access to your traffic logs, free of
charge. Access to logs and statistics are via your CPanel 10 web control
panel, accessed by going to www.yourdomain.com/cpanel.
Your services are great, can I refer other potential customers
to you?
Absolutely! In fact, for every new customer you send our way, we will
credit your account with 1 month's free hosting (in the value of the
plan the new customer signs up for). That means if you refer a friend
who signs up for the Multi-3, for example, you'll be credited with
$13.95. If they sign up for the Multi-4, you'll receive $19.95, but
if they sign up for the Cheap Web Hosting Plan, you'll receive just
$2.45 Offer applies only when NEW customers are referred to us, and
credits will be applied after the referred customer has been a paid
